The street gives off an artistic vibe and it is hipster to many visitors. Visitors there mostly come to admire different types of art and some are influenced to explore the world of art. It’s a good place for artists to showcase their work and influence others to pick up new interests.

Design Statement
To build a space that is healing and inspirational to individual youth and others. The space will be his work, living, and playing space welcoming to the public. It strives to broaden people’s minds about wood sculpting and its culture. The space is used for a craft workshop and creates a bridge for prominent artists. It strives to reach out to all ages artists with a passion for wood sculpturing and others picking up new hobbies. The place distinguishes itself from other shophouses by the unity of the evident texture of wood that revitalizes the building. The balance between simplicity and complexity creates different user experiences throughout the space. Repetition is consistent throughout the space creating identities.
The client profile that I choose was a wood sculptor, who likes minimalistic and loves to interact with others. In this concept, I wanted to try and play with different heights. This would allow me to explore the interior space on different levels. Further improved, I have arranged the rectangular walls in an alternative position and going forward tried to connect and create space through it. The space consists of a wood carving workshop, cafe, gallery, and living space for the client.
